For wearers who need both presbyopia and astigmatism correction in a monthly contact lens, the choices narrow quickly.  Most multifocals don't handle astigmatism, and most torics don't handle near vision. Ultra Multifocal for Astigmatism

Bausch + Lomb's lens uses a 3-Zone Progressive Design, with the same lens design fit to both eyes. The samfilcon A material is paired with MoistureSeal technology, engineered to maintain moisture across all 16 hours of daily wear. With a Dk/t of 163, it delivers exceptionally high oxygen permeability for a toric multifocal which is  useful for end-of-day comfort and corneal health. Biofinity Toric Multifocal

CooperVision takes a different approach. The Biofinity Toric Multifocal uses Balanced Progressive Technology, meaning a different design in each eye: the dominant eye gets a distance-emphasized "D" lens, the non-dominant eye gets a near-emphasized "N" lens. The Aquaform material is naturally wettable without surface treatments, and the lens comes in four add powers (in 0.50 steps) plus an unusually wide parameter range, much of which is made-to-order. The trade-off: fitting takes more precision, and orders can take longer to arrive than standard stock lenses.

Which Should You Choose?

If you want a straightforward fit with high oxygen flow and consistent comfort across the day, Ultra Multifocal is the simpler win. If you need fine-tuned vision across distance and near or have a prescription outside standard stock parameters, Biofinity Toric Multifocal's customized approach is hard to beat.
